As a member of Cooperation Development Group (CDG) – a network of 15 civil society organizations which are working on a variety community development area including health care, education, gender, environment, rural development, and community capacity strengthening, the RTCCD was involved in the workshop “Resources mobilization and CDG: contributions for community development” which was organized on the 7th December 2010 (CDG-Brot für die Welt-CGFED, Hanoi 7th December 2010).
At the workshop, the Centre has: 1) Poster presentations of 15 years activities on community development, and 2) Oral presentation titled “Community Development: What NGOs have contributed and where do their resources come from?” delivered by Dr. Tran Tuan with his view, philosophy and lessons learnt during 25 years working in community development. His presentation attracted the interest from workshop participants (see the presentation here). In the near future, Dr. Tran Tuan is going to develop an article related to this topic and is willing to share with any individuals and organizations who are interested.
