Child abuse and neglect prevention is one of the areas attracting the attention of the society, and it requires close and frequent cooperation between governmental institutions, NGOs and international organizations. Recognizing the importance of strengthening intersectoral collaboration against child abuse and neglect in Vietnam, the working group which includes the National Hospital of Peadiatrics, Royal Children’s Hospital International, The Hon Alastair Nicholson, and the Research and Training Centre for Community Development have jointly initiated the second seminar on “Strengthening the Intersectoral Collaboration against Child Abuse and Neglect in Vietnam”. The workshop will be presided over by Vietnam Partliamentary Committee for Culture, Education, Youth, Adolescents and Children (VPCCE).

On 06 May 2011, RTCCD signed a contract with Family Health International (FHI360) and the Committees for HIV/AIDS Prevention of Hanoi and HCMC to formalize a collaborative training service about establishing mental healthcare activities for PLHIV in out-patient clinics (OPCs) of Dong Anh district (Hanoi) and Districts 1 and 10 (HCMC).

Responding to the call for Vietnam Anti-Corruption Initiatives (VACI 2011 program), RTCCD brings the initiative "Say NO to envelope payments in health services." The idea is to promote people's participation in creating an environment that does not tolerate informal costs in health services.

Canada Fund has been agreed to provide the financial support to the joint proposal proposed by RTCCD and in collaboration with the National Hospital of Paediatrics and the Dien Bien Department of Health. It aims to reduce morbidity and mortality of children under 5 years old and improve knowledge of child care to the community of ethnic minorities in 16 communes of Muong Nhe district of Dien Bien province.
